An Amazing Artist. . .

I just love the feeling of excitement when you discover a new artist, musician, or writer that you find captivating.  It seems to give you a new energy that breeds motivation and determination. . .Don't you think?  

With that thought, I give you a new artist to explore. . .

Last night, we had the priviledge to go to the Artist's Reception for the opening of our friend and photographer extraordinaire, Tyler Andrews.  Let me tell you, it was amazing!!!  The gallery was in Franklin, TN, a part of an architectural firm there, Binkley Garcia, and a great venue for Tyler to showcase his art.  All of the 17 photographs were architectural in some nature and were very well done.  I knew that spaces with such age and a thick patina could look artistic and interesting, but Tyler has the ability to completely transform the way that you look at these spaces!  I truly enjoyed his ability to capture the beauty in something that not everyone else would see as beautiful. 

Tyler is not only an incredible photographer (I've already showcased some of his work in another blog post.  He did some of the catalog shots for us this past year.), but he's a great person as well.   Husband to Caroline and father to Ewan, Wyatt, and Elias, it's astounding that he even has time to photograph weddings, bands, professionals, senior portraits, etc.; much less that he can find the time to photograph for artistic purposes and to publish his own book, Low.  He's even currently working on a book with all of the images from the show, which I can tell you from having seen them, will be a very intriguing addition to any coffee table!
