Amber's Pimento and Cheese

So, last week I posted to you all about the yummy "Cheese Spread" that Mother, Daddy, and i had last time I was in Wrens.  I thought you might enjoy having Amber's pimento cheese recipe. . .

Cheese!!!

For a couple of months now, Daddy has been telling Mother and me about this great documentary he saw on the History Channel.  So, the last time that I was in Wrens to get some things done in the office and the store, we decided to all pile in their bed and watch the tivo-ed documentary on the process of making cheese.

Birthday Mac and Cheese

Brie en Croute

I know, I know. . .it sounds super fancy, but I promise that this is one very easy appetizer!  Served alongside some fresh fruit (I like to use red grapes and thinly sliced pear.), it makes for a very impressive presentation with very little effort

1 round Brie cheese

1 pack crescent rolls (I always use Pilsbury)

Lettuce Wraps with Ground Turkey and Almonds

I made these for Amos and me on Sunday night.  We ate them as our entree with fried rice that Amos made.  They were delicious!  They'd make an excellent starter or hors d'ourvres for a party as well.

1 lb. ground turkey (or other ground meat of your choice)

1/2 sweet onion, finely chopped

2 medium carrots, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

Wine or chicken stock for de-galzing

2 tblsp. lite soy sauce

1/4 cup stir fry sauce

Sneak Peak into our 2009 Catalog

About a month ago, we had the photoshoot for our upcoming catalog.  I thought that I'd share a first glance into some of our new products and newly redesigned products.  I hope you enjoy!

Chocolate Mint Brownies

These are one of Mother's specialties that Dalton and I grew up on. They are some of the BEST brownies ever! I sure hope that you and your family enjoy them as much as we have over the years!

Brownies

1 Box Brownie Mix (Mother always used Betty Crocker)

1/2 Cup Small Pecan Pieces

1 tsp. Peppermint Extract

Tasty Tuesday Recipes

Hey, Y'all!!!

I've had a new idea that I do hope that you'll all enjoy.  I am going to try my best to post a new recipe to the blog every Tuesday, creating "Tasty Tuesday Recipes."  They will be super easy (because there's no way I'd make a dish that was too complicated;-) ), very tasty, and contain ingredients that, for the most part, you'll have in your kitchen.

1 jar Raspberry Jalapeño Jam from The Orchards (or your favorite jam or jelly)

1/4 cup soy sauce or teriyaki sauce
